Iraq

On Sept 1, 2016 HHL collaborated with Unicef and Shared Studios to facilitate a Breakdance and Emcee Workshop using a tech portal at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to connect with youths at a Refugee Camp based in Ibril, Iraq. We worked with about a couple of dozen youths at the camp and it was very fulfilling and inspiring.

The breakdance portion of the workshop was run by Masi Yahya James, who is a notable breakdancer and teacher. HHL Advisory Board Member Kev Kruz and HHL Co-Founder René John-Sandy collaborated with the Emcee portion. We look forward to doing another one in the near future.
