With the recent events that occurred in the plethora of shooting of young black teens in America, Hip Hop Loves (HHL) decided to collaborate some of the students that we facilitate workshops with in New York at the Harlem Childrens Zone (HCZ) to record a song.

We connected students from the Employment Technology Center and Learn to Earn Center  at HCZ to create a song titled “Stop Shooting”. HHL invited activist and speaker Yusef Salaam from the “Central Park 5 Trial” to participate on this project.

Thanks to HHL Advisory Board Member Matt Brittain, we recorded the song at the Brewery Studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The song will be promoted virally to show that the younger generations are taking a stand and taking action in creating a solution for this issue affecting our society.
